A company called Vector, are installing photo-voltaic cells to the biosphere of the classroom of the future they will provide additional solar shading and will also produce one kilowatt of electricity per day throughout the year. The electricity produced will power the lighting in the classroom.

Since the school is closed on weekends and holidays, the extra electricity produced will be sold back to the national grid, thus reducing the school's electricity bills, but more importantly reducing carbon emissions.
